Want to get involved?!
There are a number of ways one can assist the Chamber in its vision to unite Red oak's businesses, civic organizations, and educational establishments to form a more perfect community.
Bring your talents and voice your opinions. Learn what others think and then work towards a common goal in teams, task forces, and community groups.
- Auction Committee
Coordinate the Chamber's largest annual auction event by assisting with event theme and décor planning, event setup and breakdown, donation acquisition, and entertainment and catering procurement.
- Business Expo
Assist with business recruitment, advertising, and managing special activities for this awesome yearly event that brings out and promotes all of Red Oak's local businesses.
- Founders Day Committee
Work with other city planners to strategize and execute Red Oak's largest annual event, including the marketing, advertising and selling of booths and sponsorships.
- Golf Committee
Recruitment of golf teams, selling of sponsorships and donation acquisition, and event set up.
- Marketing Committee
This committee helps promote the ROACC and its Members internally and externally through active marketing campaigns, phone banking, and selling of advertising spots found in the Chamber Directory and webpage.
- Membership Committee
Help to increase and maintain memberships by assisting as ushers and greeters at luncheons, ribbon cuttings, chamber networking events (i.e. chamber coffee hour, chamber after hours), active recruitment of new members, mentoring current members and constant recruitment to all events.
- Mentors and Speakers
Act as resources and information centers for active members looking for help with business growth, operation management, or even personal development. Can also be invited/tasked to either speak at monthly luncheon or secure speakers for the luncheon.
- Scholarship Education Committee
Works to grow financial sponsorships for annual distribution of much deserved scholarships to local graduating seniors. Interview scholarship applicants, plan volunteering events for fellow chamber members that also include ROISD participation, and distribute marketing designed to encourage outside community involvement with ROISD and Red Oak Areas schools.
