There are many reasons to join your local Chamber of Commerce which are quite obvious.  Here are some things that the Red Oak Area Chamber offers that you might not have considered yet.

• Membership Plaque

  By becoming a member in the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce, a business is then able to display the Chamber’s membership plaque in their place of business. This plaque informs your customers that your business is one of a select group of businesses that work together to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Red Oak Area.

• Membership Directory

  The Chamber membership directory is a valuable resource provided to all members of the Chamber. This is a useful list when filling your business needs as well as prospecting.

• Website Listing

  Each Chamber member receives a complimentary listing in our Member Directory. The site receives numerous hits on a daily basis, and visitors and residents alike go there to find out where to do business in the Red Oak Area. We list only your business name and contact, address and phone number. Fax numbers are not listed unless specifically requested. We will add a fax number at no additional charge.

• Business Card Display

  Chamber members may bring in a quantity of their business cards to display in the Chamber office. We receive numerous visitors who come by to gather information on Red Oak and its businesses.

• Business Referrals

  We recommend Chamber members only! On average, we give 20 business referrals per month. Your Chamber membership is sure to bring you new customers!

• Newsletter Listing of New Members

  New Chamber members will be listed in The Friday Update, the Chamber’s weekly newsletter, with the member’s business name, contact name, address, phone and fax numbers, and website address, if available.

• Ribbon Cutting

  Celebrate joining the Chamber, a grand opening, or groundbreaking by holding a ribbon cutting or groundbreaking ceremony for members only. This event is the quickest and easiest way to let the community know what your business is doing! The Chamber brings the scissors, ribbon, camera, and volunteers. The local newspapers take photographs.

• Monthly Chamber Luncheon Meetings

  The Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a luncheon meeting on the fourth Wednesday of every month (January through October) and the third Wednesday of November at the Red Oak Municipal Center. No meeting is held in December. A guest speaker provides insightful business information at each meeting. This event draws a large crowd and offers the opportunity to meet and network with other businesses and community leaders in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Any member may sponsor a luncheon. The sponsor receives additional advertising through The Chamber Report and by an announcement at the luncheon that your business is sponsoring the senior citizens for the day.

• Annual Auction

  This is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser and is a popular spring event. Activities include, but are not limited to, live and silent auctions, food and refreshments. Chamber members can donate an item or service to be auctioned. The event is promoted in area newspapers, and, as a donor, your company is listed in the auction program and recognized in The Chamber Report.

• Golf Tournament

  Our golf tournament is a unique opportunity for member networking. Members not only form company teams, but also invite business clients and new acquaintances with common business interests to join teams. A member may sponsor golf holes, hole in one, or other mini-contests of the tournament to help obtain public recognition and advertising benefits. Tournament participants gain an opportunity for fun and prizes while meeting new business interests on the golf course.

• Founders Day

  This annual community celebration is held on the second Saturday of September. A parade kicks off the event, and leads to Red Oak City Park for family entertainment, arts and crafts, games, food vendors and other fun events. Booth reservations are required to obtain vending rights to this event. Bring the family for a day filled with fun!

• Christmas and Tree Lighting Ceremony

  The Chamber assists the City and community with promoting this holiday event. The date of this event varies, but is held in early December. The celebration takes place in Red Oak City Park where the ceremonial tree lighting is held. The event features family entertainment, food, fun, and more.

• Red Oak Area and Ellis County Maps

  The Chamber offers Red Oak Area and Ellis County maps.
